The seaguard look great ... although the Swordmasters look just like the old ones, just more crisp,
most hoping they would be a touch more dynamic.

These are incredible for a starter set !

Detailing on the griffon feathers is decent given its plastic, but still somewhat disappointing. The model itself is dynamic and awesome. About time we had some new griffon models.

Incredible indeed!

I remember way back when when I got my first fantasy started box, this is leagues ahead. I'll be keen to get my hands on some of those Skaven, I've been considering starting a Skaven army for a long time. Seeing as I'm without a fantasy army at the moment I think my mind has just been made up. Kaboom.

Wonder if that means a new 40k box is on the way? I'd like to see one with IG, need to bolster my infantry ranks.

Those are some seriously awesome models. These starter sets just keep getting better. Something a little funny i noticed in those pics though is that they have the standard bearers mixed up between the seaguard and swordmasters.

Is it just me then that thinks the girffon looks like utter rubbish... the front legs look way to long and huge compared to the rest of it...

Otherwise, very nice!

The front claws on the griffin look way too big. I thought it was a great eagle, then realized there was more to it.. either way, too big. But still good.

Yeah it does look a little odd. Could just be the angle, it'll withraw from condemnation of it until i hold one in my hands. Shortly before I convert it into something a rat-ogre just mangled. Tee hee hee.

GW have really picked up their game with their figures in the last few years. Love them all even the Griffin with the HUGE hands mutation.

I will definitely be buying this boxed set, although I will probably be trying to swap out some of the Skaven for the older style Skaven figures if I can.

Awesome!!!!!!!

Pic of the bunch for me are those rat ogres. Awesome by themselves, great conversion potential, and the second one wouldn't look out of place on the BB pitch.

Now the big question, buy the BRB now, or wait for the box set?

Two very nice starter armies...hard to decide which one to concentrate on.

The high elf units looked a little off at first. I was wondering why the sea guard would have a sword banner and the sm have a sea dragon on a shield.....then it finally clicked....the standard bearers are photographed with the wrong units.
