Hi people

I'm in the process of organising a kings tournament at Good Games Cannington and thought I would do a quick check of who can make it when.

The next kings event is at Gamagori on the 27th August, so I was thinking September or October for mine. I'm pretty restricted on dates between working FIFO, going on a holiday down south in Sept, my Mum travelling over from the UK in November, and various Magic GT's that will fill the store.......

Given all this I am tentatively looking at the 8th October as the date. How does this work for people? (I don't want to go and schedule an event for when half the players are on holiday/looking after kits/having open heart surgery etc!

Format would be along the lines of:
1 day
4 games
UK Clash of Kings pack
chess clocks?
non-kill scenarios (pillage, the table 6ths one, dominate, loot, invade) - some combo of them
Win:draw:loss (15:10:5) with +/- 5 points for attrition
equal prizes for generalship and painting

What do we think?

Sounds great Boothy and thanks for organising the event. Good idea about knocking out the Kill mission. That will make for a nice unique feel for the tournament. I also really like the Clash of Kings tourney format. So given that CoK uses 2500pts (from memory) is this one going to be a 2500pt event or will you stick with 2000pts?

I won't make it to the Gamagori event but there is an outside chance that I may make it to yours. Work is still absolutely crazy and may spill over into October and thus ruin my plan of attending. But I shall do my best to prevent that from happening.

Ah I had forgotten that clash of kings was 2500 points, no I'll stick to 2000. Seems to be a good value for the four games in a day format.

Awesome, 2000pts will make for an easier 4-game day for sure. Good luck with the organising.
