C'mon Darth! Give us a Game Report!!!
I was planning on doing a brief report so...
I went to the other end of the known universe (Jindalee) in Nasty pouring rain (tues), until i was almost there and the sun came out and shined down on me and my bike and and I was greeted by beautiful blue sea.
Then the game started and a blizzard hit and lasted all game
the blizzard didnt help the wood elves much (actually it was a big factor in the result) but as i generally avoid things that result in my players face planting if i can help it it didnt really bother me at all.
I won the kick and recieved and took out 2 welf line before the 1st TD was scored, reapers wizards seeing a cage forming around the ball carrier tried hitting 4 delf with a fireball and singed 1 temporarily. Then the wardancer leaped in and I forgot to dump off (all my players were man'd up to make things harder and there was only 1 player I could dump off to with out an intercept) the ball went down and the welf thrower failed to pick up in 2 tackle zones and didnt want to use the last team reroll for the half. I smashed my way out and got the ball up near the end zone in a position where the welves needed multiple go for its just to try taking it out of my hands with assistance - wardancer face plants attempting to throw the block. 1-0
the Delf set up the passer sitting on the sidelines, the welf out numbered had the thrower run the ball back as the catchers and dancers pressed for the line, the delf shut down the scoring potentials and pressured the thrower, with welves manned up and having to get out before the short pass and hand off combo was making it hard and welves. Face planting didnt help the welf either. 2-0
and thats how the game continued too many 3+ leap, go for it needed without re-rolls and getting stuck in a smash fest with delf made to maim, the score would have ended 4-0 but for a blitz vs the 4 remaining welf , taking out the thrower before the ball came down and the wardancer recieving the kicked off field ball face planting on the 2nd go for it leading to one of the few times id gone for it (to pick up & throw), then go for it to hand off (luckilly i had 1 reroll left at this stage) and over the line 5-0
I think the majority of 1's i rolled were on cas results otherwise my dice were good all game ( i only used 1 of 3 rerolls first half), reaper could def have used another 2 re-rolls or no blizzard.
The babe def helped the welf ko's as the welf cycled thru but 3 from 11 elves sitting in the injured bin by half time and another 2 (after apoth helped the WDancer SI) by turn 5 2nd half vs a full squad of delf wasnt a nice situation to be in for anyone
