I really am not sure what I am taking to ultimates this year.

Ogres
Pros
1. I have played these guys for a long time
2. I have the minis
3. they are all painted up to a tourney standard so all I need to do is pick them up and not forget half my army like at KRAGS this year.

Cons
1. I have played these guys for a long time. I like a change.

Lizardmen
Pros
1. new codex
2. haven't used at a tourney since 2005 so will be refreshing
3. get to paint up a new army

Cons
1. new codex
2. haven't used at a tourney since 2005 so will forget stuff
3. do I have time to paint up a new army?!

VC
Pros
1. I have played these guys for a long time
2. I have the minis
3. they are all painted up to a tourney standard so all I need to do is pick them up and not forget half my army like at KRAGS this year.

Cons
1. I don't like using the net list.

Empire
Pros
1. cool models with strong power
2. I have the minis
3. they are all painted up to a tourney standard so all I need to do is pick them up and not forget half my army like at KRAGS this year.

Cons
1. I like dinosaurs, zombies and ogres a lot more

Dwarves
pros
1. I have the models

Cons
1. Too many to list

Beastmen
Pros
1. they are always the underdogs and I wouldn't expect to win so a more relaxed and fun event.
2. have a lot of models

Cons
1. not painted army
2. hard to win with
3. haven't used much at all.

So what are peeps suggestions for my army at ultimates?
1. Ogres
2. Lizardmen
3. VC
4. Empire
5. Dwarves
6. Beastmen

You have listed six options - embrace the ways of Our People, and make the roll.

How many games can you get with the lizards between now and then. Seems like they are what you would like to use and the only real concern is forgetting rules/learning the army book. With a few practice games these problems go away.

You come out looking like a genius, or can blame the dice. It's a no-lose solution!
