I have spent a fair bit (as in waaayyy too much) time browing Defiant's website, and I have discovered a few more completely awesome Infinity models. Thing is, I don't particularly want to start Infinity (age old no time problem). My solution, find a way to get them into 40k! :D

Here are the models that I'd like you guys to try and make fit into a 40k environment:
1. Image
2. Image
3. Image

I'm currently thinking that they could represent:
A) Necrons - 1 is a Destroyer Lord w/warscythe, 2 is a Tomb Spyder plus Particle Beamer or Annihilation Barge (?), 3 are Necron Warriors.
B) Chaos - 1 is a Daemon Prince, 2 is an Obliterator, 3 are Chaos Infantry.

Help? I've got to try and justify getting them somehow :D

I like the jotum as Tau!

The yu-jing would make awesome Necrons but surely GW isn't charging so much that you could buy an entire army of skirmish models from another range and have it work out cheaper....... ;)

I think the issue lies not with GW prices but the fact that he likes Infinity models...which is why he should bite the bullet, choose a faction and jump into the game!!!! :P :P

I've come up with a way to get the Anathematics into my Opto Grot army. Basically it will proxy for an Ork Warboss in Mega Armour and I'll just mount it on the appropriate 40k sized base. Thematically the Gretchin have finally found the legendary beings that Gretchin once were and are looking to restore their place in the universe as rightful rulers.

Another question as to proxies. I'd like to have an Arachanarok (with armour plating) count as a Battlewagon and, in following this theme, another spider model to represent a Trukk. As the Arachanarok works out to be roughly the same size as a battlewagon, I don't think I'll have any issues there. The second spider model is where I am stuck though. The only ones I can find are these:
GW Gigantic Spider
Heresy Spider

However, both are too small. Any suggestions? :D

Maybe Shelob from LOTR SBG? I saw one a couple of years ago and thought she was a chunky model.

Kararuri would make a fun Cyborg Sisters of Battle army.

Hmm, I think even Shelob is that bit too small, but thanks anyway. I had forgotten about Shelob.

The Raging Heroes kickstarter has my eye and so I'm wondering what people would consider okay.

Fabius Bile (experimental psycho with metal tentacles)
Image

Chaos Infantry (heavily armoured, can't ally SOB so no confusion there, will probably add bolters / special weapons slung over their shoulders for clarity)
Image

Obliterators (probably the least likely of the lot, I've seen in other threads where weapon teams were used as obliterators but then again,in 6th artillery has its own rules and Chaos have no artillery)
Image

Nevertheless, legit in a tournament setting? :D

The infinity stuff will always be assumed to be crisis suits / fire warriors.

The raging heroes will be.. pricey... but they make good IG infantry, SOB. Or you could use them as acolytes in an grey knights army?

The Raging Heroes stuff is fairly well priced I think, about $40 per 10. But yeah I'm looking to use them as standard CSM or something like that. :D

They're better priced than ordinary CSM models :)
I think the Fabius Bile proxy and the infantry look sweet and wouldn't have a problem playing them, it'd depend on the TO though.
